Manufacturer for buyers in Canada

Canadian distributors usually buy smaller, more varied quantities than their US neighbours, across many patterns at once. That suits a manufacturer with a wide catalogue: we produce over 2,600 instrument patterns across surgical, dental, veterinary, orthopedic and specialty ranges, so a single purchase order can cover most of a distributor's hand-instrument range.

We work with distributors who sell to dental offices, veterinary clinics, long-term care, community hospitals and provincial tenders, as well as private-label brands that want their own name on the instrument.

We supply distributors, hospital suppliers and brands across Canada, including Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Winnipeg and Halifax.

Who we supply in Canada

  • Medical and dental distributors
  • Veterinary supply companies
  • Private-label brands selling across Canada and the US
  • Suppliers bidding on provincial health-authority tenders

Health Canada basics for importers

Under Canada's Medical Devices Regulations, most manual reusable surgical instruments are Class I devices. Class I devices do not need a Medical Device Licence, but the companies that import or distribute them in Canada must hold a Medical Device Establishment Licence (MDEL) from Health Canada.

Labelling must carry the information the regulations require, and bilingual English/French labelling is expected for many sales channels. We print your labels to the artwork you approve, so French text, your MDEL holder details and your catalogue numbers can all be on the pack.

This is a general overview for orientation, not legal advice. Requirements change, so confirm the current rules with Health Canada or your regulatory consultant.

What we provide

  • Labels and inserts printed to your approved English/French artwork
  • Brand, catalogue number and country-of-origin marking on the instrument
  • Certificate of origin and full shipping documents for CBSA clearance
  • Product specifications and material details for your records

Questions from Canada buyers

Can one order mix many different instruments?

Yes. Mixed orders across surgical, dental and veterinary patterns are normal for us; each pattern is packed and labelled separately.

Do you need an MDEL to sell to us?

No. The MDEL is held by the Canadian importer or distributor. We are the foreign manufacturer and supply the product and documentation.

Can you print French labels?

Yes. Send your bilingual artwork and we print and apply it at packing.

Do you supply sample sets before a first order?

Yes. Most Canadian customers start with a sample set of their key patterns to check quality and finish.

* Timelines are indicative. The final order timeline can only be confirmed after you contact us with your instrument list and quantities.
