<p>To extend the working life of surgical instruments: rinse immediately after use to prevent blood and saline residue from drying on the surface, avoid saline soaking beyond the recommended time, use a neutral-pH enzymatic detergent rather than harsh alkaline cleaners, and dry instruments fully before storage to prevent spotting and corrosion.</p><p>Autoclave according to the instrument manufacturer's recommended cycle, and inspect box locks, jaws, and cutting edges periodically for wear.</p>
